Stories from COVID_19

A year ago, around this time, our city was pretty much all shut down. I struggled being locked up in the house all day and started heading out, pretty much daily and just documenting. I had zero plans for the footage as it really was never about the footage… the going out and documenting was the release I needed.

So here we are a year later and I felt inspired to turn some of the footage into something. Let me know what you think.

All footage recorded between 03.27.20 – 04.19.20.

Nobody Skates Alone

For some in Louisville, Kentucky skating is more than just a hobby or favorite pastime… it’s a part of their culture and who they are. Something happens to them once their skates are tied and those wheels hit the ground… something beautiful, freeing, and almost euphoric!
While the world was shut down in quarantine, I got to spend some time with a group of young adults that weren’t letting Corona stop them from their passion.

Jaylin Stewart

Stories of beauty in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. I got to spend some time with artist Jaylin Stewart as she created a chalk art tribute to our superheroes on the front lines! We talked about the power of and the need for art in times like this.
